COVID-19. In which cases should mask be worn?

20 March 2020 | News | Therapy

How to wear, use and remove the mask?

  • Before wearing a mask, hands should be treated with alcohol-based products or washed with soap. Wear the mask so that it covers nose and mouth and make sure there is no space between face and the mask.
  • Do not touch the mask while wearing it, and in case you touch it, make sure your hands are treated with alcohol or washed with soap.
  • When the mask gets wet, replace it with a new one and do not use the disposable mask twice.
  • When you remove the mask, touch only ear loops (avoid touching the front of the mask) and immediately throw it into the closed waste container.
  • Afterwards, treat your hands with sanitizer or wash with water and soap.
  • Healthy people should wear a mask if they help a person suspected of having COVID-19.
  • Wear a mask if you cough or sneeze.
  • The mask is an effective protective measure when combined with regular hand washing with soap or cleaning with alcohol-containing antiseptics.
  • If you wear a mask you should know the rules of using and removing disposable medical masks.
