The annual congress of the European Respiratory Union took place in Madrid from September 28 to October 2. Armenia became a member of the European Respiratory Union since 2014. The results of the 2.5-year research on the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were presented within the framework of the congress, which were quite significant and were evaluated by the commission. This will enable Armenia to be involved in more important programs in the future.
"Over the next three years, on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation we will try to develop pulmonology in Armenia as much as possible and have the opportunity to organize researches and seminars by the European Respiratory Union. It is a great honor” says Irina Khachatryan.

Also, a presidential reception with national delegates took place within the framework of the Congress.
